Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the TakeOne platform at jointake.one (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use TakeOne. By signing up you confirm you are 18+, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are who you say you are. We reserve the right to ask for verification at any time.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at security@jointake.one if you suspect unauthorized access.

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, text, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content you grant TakeOne a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt (e.g. resize, watermark) and distribute Your Content on the Service for the purpose of running and promoting the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You represent that you own or have the right to upload Your Content, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

Photos and videos you upload to TakeOne are made available solely for the purpose of casting discovery and audition evaluation within the Service. Other users may not download, screenshot, reproduce, or use your photos or videos outside of the TakeOne platform - including in commercial materials, social media posts, or any other context - without your explicit written consent. TakeOne will take reasonable steps to deter misuse, including applying technical protections such as watermarking, and will act on verified reports of photo misuse under our Community Guidelines.

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise harmful.
• Post fake casting calls, fraudulent jobs, or solicit money from talent under false pretences.
• Scrape, copy, or republish profiles or casting calls without permission.
• Interfere with the Service - including running automated bots, attempting to bypass rate limits, or probing for vulnerabilities without authorization.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or stalk anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

Casting directors and production houses are solely responsible for the casting calls they post and any commitments made to applicants. Actors and creators are solely responsible for the accuracy of their portfolios and applications. TakeOne is not a party to any engagement, contract, or transaction between users - we provide the discovery layer; the work happens off-platform.

Some features are paid, billed via our payment provider Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Credits do not expire.

The Service itself - software, branding, design - is owned by TakeOne and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or expose us to legal risk.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will get cast for any role, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that any user will respond to your messages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeOne is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify TakeOne against any claim or demand arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved by arbitration in Mumbai in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The courts of Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
